Tyrus on his Weight Loss journey
The former WWE Superstar has not wrestled since the August of 2023. His final match was a Bullrope match against EC3 for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Tyrus was the defending champion. At the time Tyrus was overweight and it was evident that he was struggling to even walk. After dropping the NWA World Title to EC3, Tyrus went on to transform himself.
Recently, the former NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion spoke with Scott ‘Future’ Felstead for Muscle & Fitness. During the interview, Tyrus reflected on his weight loss journey and also shared that he can walk normally now without the aid of a cane.
“Before, if I was having a bad day, I’d grab a Snickers, or a sandwich or twenty. But as I got older, and more confident in myself, I was able to control that more. But that was something that I always struggled with.
“The stuff you will say to make yourself okay with not being okay is amazing. The energy you take to cover up your B.S. If you just faced it in the mirror, it’ll be so much better for you. I haven’t been the best at this, but if you eat less, and burn more, you lose weight. And if you don’t, you don’t. It’s that simple.”
Tyrus also shared how happy he was after finally getting rid of his cane.
“I could not wait to see how far I could chuck that thing down my yard, because I was done with it.”Tyrus said.
