1000-Year-Old Prophecy Predicted New Pope Will Be The Last With Terrifying Warning To Humanity

A 1000-year-old prophecy has predicted that the new Pope will be the last with a terrifying warning to humanity.

After the death of Pope Francis last month, aged 88, many were left wondering who would replace him in the important role as head of the Church.

On May 8, it was revealed that a replacement was chosen as Cardinal Robert Prevost, 69 – who’s papal name is Pope Leo XIV – making him the first American pope in history.

There is a shocking conspiracy theory circulating online about the new head of the Church, however…

An old prophecy called the Prophecy of the Popes that was ‘found’ by a monk named Arnold Wyon has claimed that some very bad things may be coming following the death of the late Pope Francis.

Wyon claimed the prophecy was written by an Irish saint called Saint Malachy and claims a list of 112 popes identities through some cryptic sentences.

The last name on the list would be Pope Francis (known as ‘Peter the Roman’ which doesn’t really make sense considering he took the name ‘Francis’ and was born in Argentina, not Rome) but there are no more entries following that.

The prophecy claims: “Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.”

Which appears to suggest that Rome will be destroyed…not a great prophecy.

Experts have claimed the prophecy is fake, however. Papal historian Anura Guruge said ‘more than likely, the entire thing is a forgery’, while religious expert Josh Canning said it would be ‘really reaching’ to connect the sentences with the Popes authority,

“I don’t know how you can connect Peter the Roman with Pope Francis.”

So, looks like we’re safe for now!
